OMG !!

Well, this is the first word that came to my mind when I saw what's on the floor at Ion this evening.

I apologise for not updating my blog for nearly 1.5 months but the incident happened at Ion urged me to add this to my blog.

I am actually talking about my maid.

Yup. My maid who has worked for me for 8 months.

We went out today shopping for some stuff and we were at Orchard. When we were on the way walking to carpark, I passed by a shop selling very nice accessories. I stopped by to take a look, thinking to get myself a pair of earrings and necklace.

Maid told hubby that she needed to go toilet but as I was still browsing through the accessories, he asked her if she could wait for a while. She said yes.

So, after a few minutes or so, hubby anticipated that I would take a longer time to try out the accessories, he walked out of the shop, thinking to bring her to a toilet.

Just as I was asking the sales person regarding the earrings, my hubby pulled me aside and asked me to go out. What I saw really shocked me.

I saw a pool of urine on the floor !!

It was just outside of the shop at a little corner with many people walking by.

I didn't want to believe that it's my maid who peeped on the floor so I kept asking my hubby who did that!

Maid stood there with the pram on her hand and her legs and jeans all soaked with urine!

We were a bit panic but think it's best to bring her to toilet to wash up. I went to the shop to tell the salesgirl that I would come back later, and when I turned around to look for them, they were gone !

Damn! Ion was so crowded. I just lost them.

I didn't have anything with me. No wallet, no money and no handphone.

We were at B2 and there's no toilet at that level, so I went to B3 toilet. They were not there.

I went back to the pool of urine. Not there either.

Waited awhile, I went to B1 toilet. Not there.

Went to carpark. Waited at the car. Thinking hubby might still be looking for me.

Went to B4, borrowed a phone from a shop and started calling hubby. Tried so many times but hubby didn't pick up the call. Almost gave up. Then hubby picked up the call.

Phew! We finally united. But hubby was mad, face completely black.

The journey back to home was in golden silence.

I don't understand why hubby is so mad at me. Don't we supposed to be happy that we finally found each other?

Hmmmm....

Give me a Kiss !

I always ask little rascal to give me a kiss everyday without fail.
Yup, I admit, I'm addicted.

The way I asked him is always like this

"Baby, kiss mommy."

Rascal will kiss me on my lips and smile sheepishly.

Yesterday, while I was playing with him, I told rascal

"Baby, give mommy a kiss."

But little rascal just walked away to the table to hand me a bunch of KEYS!
I was puzzled.

Hahaha... I then realised he has mistaken my command as "give mommy keys".

Silly boy

Zoo

The much anticipated zoo trip started out with a rainy morning.

My spirit was dampened when I looked out the window and saw the rain. Nevertheless, we still got everything ready, put on rascal's cap and off we go.

When we reached school, rascal joined the other kids for breakfast and waited for the coach. By 8.40am , we left school and headed to the zoo. Fortunately, on the way there, the rain finally stopped.

Rain rain please go away

When we reached the zoo, the entrance was cramped with kids. Tiny kids just like rascal. There were a few schools there so you can imagine how noisy they were.

Ok, let's see where to start off first

Hmm... any pretty gals around?

Oh, another coach coming...

Well, we didn't get to see many animals due to the slow pace the kids took but still managed to see the monkeys, white tigers, polar bears, hippo and 2 shows. Rascal was so thrilled when we saw the 2 monkeys making noises up the trees near the entrance. The noises were loud but didn't scare rascal off (which I'm quite amazed). Instead, he was so happy and bubbling something to me too.

The famous white tigers

At the splash show... very interesting

Due to the cloudy sky and that stubborn rascal, who refused to look at the camera most of the time, these are the miserable few to share.

Over The Moon

Rascal made my day.

Ok, it all started last Sunday when hubby mentioned that he wish rascal could be potty trained asap so he can save on pampers. Then my dad seconded him and started to advise us on the types of potty to use.

So, we went to Mothercare and got rascal a Baby Bjorn potty. The potty sits on the playmat for a few days and has become rascal's new toy. See, I'm a lazy mom. In fact, I wanted to wait till he knows how to speak and communicates with us. But due to the circumstances given, I am given with no choice but to start the training.

I told rascal the other day that if he wants to poo poo, he needs to come and tell me or maid so that we can take out the potty for him. Never did I anticipate this, halfway through his dinner yesterday, he told the maid and me that he wanted to poo poo. We quickly took out the potty and asked him to sit on it. Then there came my neighbour, curry aunty, popping by to see rascal poo.

Suddenly rascal felt so stressed that he cried out loud pitifully. Well, as expected, there was no sight of poo in his potty. The poor fellow went on to his dinner and later pooped in his diaper.

Then, today, while maid was playing with rascal, she caught him going to poo. We were so thrilled, waiting anxiously for rascal to poo. Hahaha...after a minute or so, rascal finally poo-ed in his potty.

Lalalala....

I'm so excited !

Little rascal is going to the ZOO tomorrow !!!

This is his very first trip to go with school. And, I get to sign the consent form. Hahaha...

Well, I'm also going with him too since he is just  a 21 mth old fellow. To mark this memorable trip, I'll try to take as many photographs as possible so I can show them to him when grows up.

You know, I was thinking hard last night on what to bring for snack. Remembered last time when I was young, always got myself a luncheon meat bun whenever I went on an excursion with schools. I have already planned to go to a bakery tonight to get rascal a bun but who knows, rascal brought back 2 muffins from school today. He made the muffins with teacher this morning! Well, I can't even make muffin myself ! Hahaha...

See, they look so yummy!

So, to save all efforts, I'm going to bring the muffins and banana tomorrow.

Hmmm... gotta pack everything neatly by tonight.

Things to pack:
1) Muffins and banana
2) Water bottle (for rascal and me)
3) Umbrella
4) Caps ( for rascal and me)
5) Anti-mosquitoes patch
6) Pampers bag (pampers, wet wipes, cream)

What else? Did I miss out anything? *thinking hard*

Moon?

No.

Please don't mistaken the SUN as a moon.

This was taken this morning (not me) when the solar eclipse happened in China.

Beautiful, isn't it?

I was watching tv from 8am - 11am to catch the whole process. It's amazing, I tell you, especially the part when the total eclipse took place. I was so touched at that very moment. The universe is just so full of mystery. How coincidence can it be that the earth, moon and sun are so in lined with each other and the distance that the moon happens to be just big enough to cover the sun?

So sweet....

Not candy ok? !

It's my little rascal !!

His English teacher, Ms Bi, told hubby that little rascal was so sweet in school. There was this little girl who cried pitifully in class. And guess what, I would never have anticipated, little rascal went to get a tissue and gave it to her.

Wow, boy, you are so sweet!

You are just 20 months old !!

Beware ladies, a future lady killer in the making...

Hiaks hiaks hiaks...

Finally !

Yeah, I've completed all the researching and planning of my Taiwan trip!
Yippee yippee hooray !!

It wasn't easy as I've to plan out the full 15 days itinerary... accomodations, bus routes and train routes to the places of interests.

I want to eat lots and lots of food. I so like the food in Taiwan. They are just so delicious. Oh not forgetting the pearl milk tea. Hubby and my favorites !!

We can drink and drink without getting sick of it. There's this particular stall near the library that we used to patronize. We go there so frequent that even the sales staff start preparing the milk tea when she sees us approaching the counter; milk tea with double pearls.

Ok, back to the trip.

I've planned to stay in taipei for a week and another week to Alishan, Qingcing, Hehuan shan and then Taroko at Hualien. I was contemplating to rent a car or take public transport but hubby prefers public transports as driving itself will kill us. It's those long distance driving, say like 5-6hrs. Moreover, it's mostly highways and mountain roads. Well, not so much of the highways, it's the mountain roads that put us off. I've read that it's misty and dangerous. So, in the end, we settled for public transports. But it'll be more time consuming.

Arrgghhh .....but I prefer driving as it's more convenience.  So contradicting !!!

Lazy Mom

Ok ok, I admit. I'm lazy.

A check at the dates, you'll know that I've been lazy. No updates for soooooo long.

Actually, I've been busy doing some researching and planning for my upcoming trip in October with hubby.

Taiwan Trip

After hubby announced that he's going to take his annual leave in October, I've been busy researching where to go. I've thought of Bali, then Praque and then finally, we settled for Taiwan.

Why?

Heehee....because I've a friend Y staying there with her hubby. Since it's only a 2 yrs posting for her hubby, I have to visit them this year else most probably next year he will have to leave Taiwan for another posting at another country.

Well, we'll be going for 15 days from 18 October -31October. I very kiasu already bought the tickets so am now busy doing the read-ups and planning the routes.

I've been to Taipei several times on free and easy and backpack and since we have so many days to spend, I'm planning to tour around Taiwan.  Transportation is the key concern. It's so crazy that most car rental companies in Taiwan do not rent to tourists. And, the rental is so expensive. It's usually around 150-200 bucks a day for a compact car. I used to rent cars in Canada. It only cost 30 bucks per day !!!

Anyway, I'm still doing the research and planning. Will update more later.

Sick Boy

Sign....my little boy is sick again.

Running nose, blocked nose, phlem....

I guess he got it from his pre-school. Well, I'm mentally prepared for it though. I have not been sleeping well these 2 weeks. Little rascal has too much phlem and he couldn't sleep well at night. Poor boy.

Update of rascal son last hospitalisation

Remember not long ago little rascal was admitted to hospital? Though I was told it's bronchitis, the doctor also told me later that rascal son was tested positive for RSV virus. She said, quoted, "it's a very bad virus". It take a long time to heal. Usually 1 month. And true enough, rascal boy took 1 whole month to recover.

That poor boy had too much phlem inside, and the only way to get it out is through suction. The therapist came twice daily to put the tiny hose in rascal son's nose and mouth to SUCK out the phlem. Horrible isn't it?

The little rascal cried a big time. He struggled and struggled. And, he needed 2 adults plus a towel to hold him still. After the 2 sessions daily for 4 days in the hospital, he still have to go for the sessions even after he was discharged ! I had to bring him to hospital to do it for another week. Sigh....my poor little son.

So sorry you have to go through this torture. I hope you don't go through this again, my dear.

Father's Day

Just came back from Bali Thai restaurant.

The whole family was there to celebrate Father's Day celebration. Whole family means my parents, siblings and my little family. The food was delicious. We had green mango salad, pandan chicken, bbq sotong, kang kong belacan, tom yung koon, deep fried prawns in yellow curry and desserts. All I could say is YUM YUM !! Hahaha.....

Actually, I was there on Wednesday (10th June) with my little family (hubby and son) and maid. We were there to celebrate my maid's birthday. Ya, I know. My maid is so fortunate. I even bought her a small little cake and let her called home that night. And, gave her a present too. You see, my employers never celebrate my birthday for me. But I was thinking since she's alone here, she might feel very lonely especially on her birthday. So, I'm trying to make her feel warm and welcomed.....

Talking about maid, mine is quite alright. She's hardworking but will still cut corners at times. Well, I think that's pretty common among maids. So, I just close one eye as long as she get things done, follow instructions and most importantly, treat my son well. I never leave her alone with little rascal except when he's sleeping. This is to prevent something unpleasant to happen and for me to regret for life.

Well, I just have to pray hard that I have a good maid who's honest and kind.

Ok, now I'm sick....

That's why I don't have any updates for these few days.

Little rascal passed the virus to me and so I'm now sick for 3 days already. Have been popping panadol all these while but my fever just didn't subside and throat is painfully sored. So, I decided to see a doctor, hoping to get well real soon since son is in Gleneagles hospital now.

Yes, yes, he hasn't recovered yet. He's been hospitalised for 2 days already. Sent him to see a paediatrician on yesterday ( Saturday 30 May) morning and doctor said he's having brochitis, so rascal was admitted immediately.

The poor boy can't really breathe. According to the doctor, he got red and swollen throat, too much mucus and phlegm inside his body too. And, he's still vomiting. He's been vomiting everyday. I hope with the treatment, he will recover soon. I really hate to see him suffering !

Because I'm sick, so it's hubby and maid taking turns to take care of little rascal. I certainly hope that I'll recover fast so that I can take care of him myself. I so missed my son !

ok, back to where I started.....

I went to see a doctor just now. And guess what? I was number 5 in the queue. It took me 1.5 blardy hours to see the doctor !! After which, I was charged for $81 !!!! Crazy !!
Go rob the bank lah !

I took a peep at the consultation card and saw one medicine was charged at $40. I asked the nurse and she said it's antibiotics. I came home, opened the antibiotics, it has only 5 capsules. This made me even mad, 5 capsules for $40 !?

I called hubby. I will never go see a doctor again.

Birthday Treat

Not mine lah....

It's my hubby's.

It's hubby's birthday yesterday (Monday, 25 May) and I got him a chocolate cake from Bakerzin. Yummy yummy. The best deal I've got. Bakerzin is having a promotion and the cake is 50% off the usual price. So, I just went ahead and bought one at only $12.90. Very worthy.

Though yesterday was hubby's birthday, I gave him a treat on Sunday instead. Yesterday, we went to Zhou Zhuang for Chinese cruisine buffet. Delicious. They even have chilli crab!

Ok, back to the birthday treat.

We dumped son and maid at my parent's place. We went to Nogawa Japanese Restaurant at Sentosa Golf Club. This restaurant was highly recommended by a local TV show, Makansutra. I was watching the show last year and promised myself that I would bring hubby here for his birthday treat.

The food was simply delicious ! The sashimi was so fresh and the other cooked dishes; like grilled fish, clear soup, sushi, deep fried ebi, dessert and etc....( I ate so much that I couldn't recall now), were just fingers licking good.

Too bad, I don't have nice pictures to show. But I managed to take 2 ( I think) with my handphone. Gotta wait for hubby to upload for me.

Son Is Sick Again....

I'm so scared of him falling sick because he will vomit at least several times a day. He is down with high fever (Yes, very very high at 40.1 degrees celcius!), cough and running nose. And, when he cough, he will vomit. Haiz....don't know why.

Rascal son has been vomiting whenever he cough. Luckily I have a maid to clean up all the mess. He even vomited twice on his bed while he was sleeping. Poor boy was awaken by his cough and had a hard time felling asleep again. He was so clingy to me and I had to carry him the whole day. But with his weight, how can I tahan (tolerate) for whole day. So, smart mummy ergoed son and problem was solved. Heehee.....

Oh yes, just now when son's temperature shot up to 40, we decided to insert the 'bullet'. This is the most powerful medicine for fever. I tried last time but failed as the 'bullet' kept squeezing out by itself. This time round, hubby decided to try his luck. And, after 2 tries, he managed to insert it in. Phew ! We were so pleased because with this medicine, we knew that the fever will come down pretty soon for at least a few hours before it shoots up again.

Keep my fingers crossed.

Mother's Day Present

In my previous post, I mentioned that little rascal brought back a carnation from school for me. In fact, he actually brought back 2 presents...heehee...

A carnation flower and a book mark !

The book mark is made of little rascal's footprint. I knew it as it was done on his first day at school. It was made during his art & craft and teacher didn't disclose anything at all. So, it's a surprise for me !

My very first mother's day present. Thank you son !

Today at school...

I think I am writing too much on this topic but please bear with me for at least one more post, ok?

This morning, little rascal smiled and waved good bye to me at the door again.

Good sign.

After sending hubby and son off, I started playing restaurant city while taking my breakfast simultaneously. The feeling was so good. Quiet and relaxed. No more fussiness from rascal, no more clinging to my leg to ask me to carry and no more pulling my hand down to stop me from using my laptop......

So peaceful.

At 1pm. Hubby was back with rascal son. Rascal got me a carnation from school. Oh good. Happy Mother's Day. Heehee.... My very first carnation.

Being a good boy, little rascal didn't cry at school today. I'm so glad he adapts well. What a relief!

But, hubby told me that rascal son cried when he was having water play. He REFUSED to get out of the pool !!

I still remembered when we first brought rascal for his first swim. He cried like mad. Everyone was looking us, as if we were torturing him.

My water boy. You have finally grown up.

All By Myself

Who else?

Hahaha...Little rascal lah !

After spending 3 days at school with him, I left him all by himself on the 4th day. It's the school policy that parent can only accompany their child for three days as anything more than that will become a habit. Which we don't want, right?

So, poor boy woke up on that morning thinking that mummy would still be with him in class. Sorry son, this is for your own good. Hiaks, hiaks, hiaks....

But, little rascal was such a good boy. He smiled and waved at me at the door, melting my heart as he went off with his dad.

Finally! I could have some free time to myself. I surfed net, played restaurant city, and looking at the clock, wondering what little rascal was doing at school.

Was he crying pitifully looking for me? Was he playing happily with other kids? Did he fell down? Was he hurt? Did he eat his snack and lunch? .....etc etc..... Was I worrying too much ?

Then, at 10.30am.

I received a phone call from the school.

Darn!

Something bad had happened to my rascal.

The lady from administrative office told me that little rascal was having a fever at 37.8 degrees celcius, asking if I'm going to pick him up. Well, since he would finish school at 12.30pm, I asked the lady to leave him at sick bay to monitor. I was told she would also be sticking a cool pad on his head to bring the temperature down.

Then, as I was thinking that's it, she revealed that little rascal fell down in the morning while playing at the playground. He was riding a bouncing animal and fell flat on the sand. Oh, my heart leaped.

Fortunately, little rascal had a shock but climbed up by himself WITHOUT crying.
He had some abrasion. And that's all. Phew!

More good news.

Little rascal was such a brave boy at school. HE DID NOT CRY AT ALL !
According to the teachers, all the kids (4 other new kids) cry EXCEPT rascal son !!

Hooray !!

My brave son, mommy is so proud of you !!!

At Pre-School Part 4

On the 3rd day ....

Little rascal's pre-school

He hates the sticky texture of flour and water. Too bad, I didn't manage to snap his expression when he made a yucky face...hahaha....

Little rascal was exploring the cd player at the back when the rest are having an activity in front.

He is participating in one of the activities....

My boy is cuddling a stuffed toy while listening to teacher's instruction. Hey mummy's boy....

At Pre-School Part 3

On 1st and 2nd day .....

Exploring the library corner, enjoying a book...

Outdoor Playground

Playing with Kotaro

Drinking his first cup of water on his first day

At Pre-School Part 2...

Another update on little rascal's pre-schooling....

On the 2nd and 3rd day, little rascal though a bit clingy to me; always came to me to sit on my laps, was still enjoying his time at the school. Phew!

I'm so scared that he will cry as there are a few kids who really tears a lot.

There's this little girl, SM, that I mentioned in my previous post who's mom is one of the teachers there, was crying all the time and rejecting everyone. SM lugged her backpack, carried her water bottle and held her shoes in her hands, was crying and screaming her head off.

I certainly do not want little rascal to behave this way.

No way!

At Pre-School Part 1...

So many updates to do.....

I was busy accompanying little rascal to his pre-school these three days.

Little rascal started his school on Monday (4/5/09). Yup, I know he is still very young at 18 mths old but I still think it's better to send him to the child care than idling at home. Hmmm... I keep telling myself....this is for his own good :)

Ok lah, I admit. It's for my own good as well as I can finally have some ME time for myself.

The pre-school that I have selected for little rascal is run by an 'ang mo'. Hoping with the foreign influence, the curriculum is more creative and not 'duck-fed'. Actually the very first thing that attracted me was the environment of the school. I really love it. It is situated in a very secluded place, far away from the traffic and noise. A serene nature with vast area to explore.  The buildings are those black and white colonel houses. Very nice.

Anyway, I was there for 3 days to accompany little rascal while getting him to adapt to the new environment. He was perfectly fine the first day. I was so glad to see him roaming around the classroom, exploring every corners, playing the toys and listening to teachers' instructions.

I was amazed to see my little boy handling things so well. Imagine I have been so worried for the last few weeks thinking that my little rascal would scream his head off. But no, he did not.

There are 8 toddlers in the class with 2 teachers, English and Chinese. But as this is a new class, with 5 new students, the principal and a teacher assistant came to help out. Of course, not forgetting the five parents of the new students.

There are 2 toddlers who keep crying...especially the girl who's mom is one of the teachers in the school. She cry whole day.First day. Second day. And, third day. Nobody can make her stop. Her grandma, daddy and teachers.

I'm so scared that little rascal will behave like that.

Oh please don't !

Scary.....

May Day Gathering

We finally had a gathering for mummies and toddlers after last xmas. And, oops, I didn't attend the xmas gathering so that makes me didn't meet with other mummies ever since last September. Talking about the gathering, we actually know each other through a motherhood forum. You know, this is the wonder of internet. We are all strangers but join the same forum and chatting through internet when we were pregnant in 2007 till now, 2009, our babies become toddlers !!

Ok, back to the gathering. We held it at Penang Place where we had buffet. The food is nice especially it's signature dish, Penang chay kuey tiao. Hubby and I had 2 servings of it and left us with very small appetite for other dishes.

I was happy to meet other mummies and talked to them in person. But, I always have regrets of not able to talk to more mummies. Usually, I only managed to talk to 3 or 4 mummies.

I was seated with chintz and jovial and so naturally, I talked to them most of the time. As for the rest of the mummies, I am so sorry that I didn't get to talk to you much. I will try to do it the next time, ok?

Gingerleaf, you really slimmed down a lot with your super diet !! So sexy somemore.... Hey, lyn is so sweet and tall.Chintz and Jovial, you two are so friendly that I like you immediately. Oh, I think Chloe and Caelan are the tallest among the toddlers. What have you two been feeding them? Long beans ??

Ponponta, Anders is so good looking with those big round eyes just like yours! Jas, you are such a wonderful mummies with 2 great kids. Oh, Dayan is just so handsome. He is definitely a heart throb winning the hearts of many girls that come along. Totoro, good to see you slim down as I think you really look good in that outfit. And, Kelly looks very sweet in her pink skirt too. Junnie, so sad I didn't have the chance to talk to you. Zann is very pretty and though Lance has slimmed down a bit, he still looks chubby to me.....

To all other mummies that I didn't mention, I'm sorry I didn't have the time to chat with you all and know you all well. Please give me some time. I will make it up the other round.

On The Phone....

Yup, I can speak now

It was my mom lah....she very kpo

Mom, I'm on the phone. Don't disturb me.

Update on Little Rascal

Little rascal was discharged from hospital last wednesday.

His temperature seemed to be stable at around 37 degrees celcius on the second day in hospital and paediatrician decided that he could be discharged. Who knows, his fever shot up to 38.8 degrees celcius when he was home. It remained like this for another 2 days.

Little rascal's diarrhea came after he was discharged. Very very liquid and it dripped on the floor whenever he was having it. I was constantly looking out for it in case I stepped on it. Yucks !

Oh forgot to mention, rascal had rashes all over him too. But it disappeared after 2 days. I was told it was normal and so I was pretty cool with it. Everyone was asking about it as it was quite unsightly but luckily it was not itchy so little rascal wasn't bothered by it at all.

Now, seeing little rascal all recovered and returned to his usual self with all the smiles, I just got to pray hard he stays healthy forever. Shoo shoo all the viruses away....

Hospitalised

Who?

Little Rascal.

Yup, he was finally hospitalised for 2 days to bring his fever down. We were told that his fever would come down after inserting the suppository (bullet-like medicine for fever) through anus. It was supposed to be a very strong medicine but it didn't work for little rascal. He was still having fever at 39.6 degrees celcius.

Well, ok, the medicine did bring his fever down for a while but temperature shot up again to 39 degrees after that. And he remained high fever all day long. His body was so scorching hot and especially the head, I felt like it was on fire. So, hubby and I felt that we should bring him to see doctor again on Monday night (the day when I last did my update).

Hubby and I felt that if we didn't get him admitted to hospital, we would be the one die of exhaustion. Ya, from taking care of sick rascal. Because he was so grouchy and cried all the time. I wonder where he got his energy from. He could cry and cry like no tomorrow.

Finally, little rascal was admitted. We felt a relief but it turned out to be a torture for both of us. We stayed overnight in the ward with rascal. Little rascal didn't sleep well in the night. He kept waking up and cry. I took very long to settle him down and just as he was falling asleep, the nurses would come in to take his temperature or checking his urine or putting up the drip for him. And, all these woke him up crying AGAIN.

I had to do the whole routine again and again. And it left us, hubby, me and rascal son, sleep deprived.  I was so frustrated that I nearly shouted at them and asked them to leave us alone !!

Very Sick...

3 days already.

Little rascal is still sick. Very sick.

He is having fever and hovering around 38-40 degrees celcius. His fever didn't subside after 3 days of medicine. We brought him twice to the doctor but the fever is still there. Don't know if it would be better if he is admitted to hospital.

I have been waking up at wee hours to sponge and attend to him. Many a time, he wakes up in the middle of the night due to the discomfort causes by the high fever. He will gives low moan of pain. I feel so sad and heartache when I hear it. Sometimes he is so uncomfortable that he gives out loud cry. He body is so scorching hot when I carry him out of his cot and twice, he vomits on me as soon as I carry him.

In the day, little rascal clings to me like koala bear, refuses to let go of me. I can't even sit down for a while. He wants me to carry him while standing or walking around. He wants no one else but me. No appetite at all. Eats little, drinks little. He is so grouching and cranky. Cry and cry all day long. Since he has not started talking yet, it is just so hard to know what he wants or where his discomfort is. Oh he only knows how to shake his head to say no.

This afternoon, hubby asked him if he wanted to do this and that, he kept shaking his head.

Then, hubby asked: "Do you love daddy?"

Little rascal shook his head.

Daddy asked again:"Do you love mummy?"

Little rascal started to think very hard then nod his head.

Aiyo, have been teaching him to nod his head but he refuses to do and this is the first time he is nodding his head.

My dear boy, mummy loves you.

Little Rascal Is Sick Again....

Just came back from Gleneagles hospital A&E. Tired, tired, very tired.

Little rascal is sleeping soundly in his room. I hope that he will remain like this through the night. So scared he will vomit again.

I have no idea why is he so prone to gastric flu. Last 2 times he was hospitalised for a couple of days. So, when this evening at around 5pm, I found that he was having a fever, I was pretty worried, hoping it wouldn't get worst. Unfortunately, 30 mins later, he started to throw up. I was carrying him facing me so the moment he vomited, he threw up everything on me. I quickly brought him to toilet and he continued with the action.

Poor boy. He looked so pathetic. I washed him up and changed to his night attire. But, deep inside me, I knew he would throw up again ( well, according to his past history). Due to past experience, I let him drank water every 15 mins, holding back his milk as it would make him vomit again. After monitoring for 1 hr and he showed signs of hunger, I decided to feed him milk.

We were sitting on the couch but after 2oz of milk, he began to vomit again. Aiyo, a huge mess. He threw up milk on both of us and the couch. Hubby decided not to take any chance and so we rushed him to hospital. Actually, I was a bit hesitant to go as he was so much better than he had it previously. Last 2 times, he vomited continuously the whole evening. At least 7-9 times. He couldn't drink nor eat anything. Even water. See, how bad it was.

Anyway, we went to see doctor. Luckily, after inserting the bullet (anti-vomit medicine) into his anus (of course, he cried like no tomorrow) and monitoring for 1 hr at A&E, little rascal did not throw up. We were glad things went well. Hopefully he is well when he wakes up tomorrow morning.

Keep my fingers crossed.
